Habanero belongs to the Capsicum chinense species. Sprinkle this habanero chilli powder over everything from meat and chicken to vegetables, salads and dips. Its unique fruity flavour is so distinctive that it has become the benchmark when comparing chilli varieties.

Habanero means “from Havana,” even though the pepper’s roots trace back to the Amazon region before spreading to Mexico. With heat reaching around 350,000 Scoville Heat Units, this is a proper hot chilli with serious personality.
Its best-known colours are red and orange, but white, chocolate, yellow and green habaneros exist too. Habanero powder is a brilliant choice if you want to make the jump from medium-hot to seriously hot chillies, as it sits between cayenne and Tabasco peppers on one side and superhots like Bhut Jolokia and Trinidad Scorpion on the other!
