Japanese Heat With Seven Spices
The Crazy Bastard Shishito Naname is a hot sauce that combines the fresh, lightly grassy flavour of Shishito peppers with the aromatic character of Japanese Nanami Togarashi. The result is layered, peppery and lively, with notes of ginger, lime and yuzu that keep every drop bright.
Its base brings together Shishito, onion and carrot, while Madame Jeanette, 7 Pot and jalapeño turn up the heat without burying the aromas. Its official heat rating is 5/10: enough to wake up your bowl, not enough to call for backup. Unless “just a little more” is your usual weakness.
Flavour and Character
Layered and peppery, with grassy Shishito notes, citrus freshness and the warm, aromatic finish of the Japanese spice blend. Tamarind, grapes and olive oil add balance and body, so you get the full flavour—not just heat.
